Will there be another fast start at Stamford Bridge on Sunday?

Chelsea have an opportunity to exact some revenge over Manchester United for the 3-1 defeat earlier in the season when Sir Alex Ferguson takes his side to West London this Sunday. The game at Old Trafford could have been a cricket score if the clubs had taken their chances and there have been plenty of entertaining games over the past few seasons.

During the last six United games against Chelsea only once has there been fewer than three goals in a contest. An interesting point for spread bettors focused on the time of the first goal market is that there have been lots of early strikes across those games. Chris Smalling gave United the lead as early as the eighth minute in the 3-1 win, while the league game before saw Javier Hernandez score in the opening minute.

The average time of the opening goal in Chelsea’ s last four league games against United currently stands at 15 minutes.
